The four 2.5 L cylinders is accredited by 193 HP and 253 nm of torque, the 3.6 L V6 of 302 CV and 366 nm of torque, both paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox (on request a six-speed manual for the 2.5 L). The traction can be two or four-wheel drive with the AutoTrac integral which electronically shares the pair between the two axles. Optional rear differential with automatic locking. The engine bonnet is made of aluminium and the grille is active (the Lamellas close at motorway speeds to improve aerodynamics)
Children “on a leash”-the GMC Canyon 2018, although it is a working medium (the towing capacity exceeds three tonnes, the six quintals of cargo), does not renounce modern entertainment technologies. The GM group’s IntelliLink multimedia system is managed by an 8-inch touchscreen with built-in Wi-Fi 4g hot spot, voice controls and gesture recognition (hand gestures). The teen driver system, designed for teenagers ‘ parents, allows you to set some parameters (from the maximum radio volume to the speed limiter) and to monitor the adopted driving style. New also the GMC Appshop where you can download apps for music, weather, news and more. With regard to safety, the 2018 GMC Canyon has stability control with anti-tipping, trailer stabilization, frontal collision warning and maintenance of the running lane. The GMC Canyon 2018 will be assembled in the GM plant in Wentzville starting next fall.
