With all-wheel drive, it does not fear slippery surfaces and, in any case, the car can be driven without difficulty, thanks also to the full-bodied response of the 200 HP delivered by the 2.2 diesel (combined with the automatic transmission). However, The engine transmits some vibrations while the suspensions do not always properly collect the holes. The price, which is not low, corresponds to rich standard equipment.
The Latest Generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe maintains massive shapes but stands out for its greater refinement in detail. For example, in the thin headlights highlighted by a chromed element, which connects them with the large mask. Beyond the aesthetics, this maxi SUV is confirmed suitable for long journeys.
In addition to a spacious interior, fully finished and comfortable for five (optional seven seats), it has a good trunk and a long series of driving aids, including cruise control with distance radar and lane maintenance.
The 2.2, which combines with the new and valid eight-speed automatic transmission (previously there were six), is energetic and not thirsty. But it generates some vibrations, and in the second half, it roars a little too much.
Agility and steering response is not sporty, but the road holding of the Hyundai Santa Fe is safe and 4×4 traction (with torque distribution that varies according to the driving mode and the type of bottom) effective on slippery terrains. On the bumpy, however, it “hops” a little.
The price is not the lowest, but it really includes everything: from the leather interior to the sunroof and metallic paint, to security systems such as monitoring the blind spot of the rear-view mirrors, the “child-saving” device (if someone remains on board after the driver has got out and closed the car, the horn starts to sound) and the one that prevents you from opening the doors if a vehicle is coming from behind.

The two optional seats of the third row, which protrude from the bottom of the trunk, are more suitable for people of shorter stature and also have air vents.
The loading threshold is not close to the ground (75 cm), while access is facilitated by the electric opening of the tailgate. Although not record-breaking, the compartment is large (up to 547 liters with five seats in use) and has a regular shape. Even if you fold the center row (using practical keys), no steps are formed and the capacity increases to 1625 liters. With the last row raised (with comfortable fabric straps), there is still some space for luggage: 130 liters.

In town. Sitting high dominates traffic, the readiness of the engine and automatic transmission, as well as the non-heavy steering, contribute to an easy and relaxed ride.
