2019 Lamborghini Urus Review; The SUPER SUV on Planet
Gritty like all Lamborghinis, the 2019 Lamborghini Urus has 650 Hp and is voted for in the sports guide, but with ambitions of great versatility.
Ambitious goals-five years after the presentation of the homonymous concept car at the Beijing Motor Show of 2012, here is the serial version of the Lamborghini Urus, SUV “high-range” with which the House of Taurus brings to three the number of models of its range and with which it intends Significantly increase the numbers of its production. The house plan plans to arrive at over 7,000 cars produced for 2019, against 3,500 of 2016 (and with the prospect of touching the 10000 units within very few years).
2019 Lamborghini Urus Engine Specs; V8 TURBO With 650 Horsepower
The 2019 Lamborghini Urus is 510 cm long and 200 cm wide (without counting the mirrors). So the dimensions are definitely “important”. Not least is the engine: V8 of 4.0 liters with gasoline delivering 650 hp at 6,000 rpm, with the maximum torque value open at 850 Nm, available with regularity already from 2,250 rpm. The maximum power of the new Lamborghini is such as to make the model the record of category for weight/power ratio: 3.38 kg/hp; The weight of the Urus is in fact 2,200 kg. It should be added that the thruster has the high specific power of 162 hp/liter. A result obtained thanks to the adoption of the double turbo. It should also be added that the house has already announced that for 2019 is expected the launch of the Urus with hybrid engine plug-in, with the addition of an electric motor in addition to the gasoline V8.
Incredible Speed For SUV
with fundamental numbers of this type, do not surprise the performance values: Maximum speed of 305 km/h, acceleration 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 12.8 seconds. Such a level of performance needs an adequate braking system, and the Lamborghini Urus boasts excellent credentials even in this respect, recording the braking 100 km/h-0 in just 33.7 meters. This contributes to the brakes with ceramic discs born for competitive use on the track. The front rims measure 440 mm in diameter and 40 mm in thickness, while the rear wheels are 370 mm in diameter and 30 mm in thickness.
to ground it’s brilliant motor qualities, the Lamborghini Urus counts on the automatic transmission 8 ratios and the full traction. The latter is based on a central Torsen differential that normally sends 60% of the driving torque to the rear wheels, but the breakdown varies by second, depending on the conditions of the road. It is thus possible to get 70% of the torque on the front wheels or 87% on the rear ones. The reliability and maneuverability on the road are then aided by the steering system of the rear wheels (3 degrees), the same device used on the Lamborghini Aventador S. The electronically controlled suspensions have the air springs that are adjusted according to the modes set by the driver along with other parameters such as motor, gearbox, and steering: the modes between which you can choose to customize the type of driving are a road, ground, Snow, Sport, and racing.
the Urus reveals quite immediately it’s being a Lamborghini. The line instead has a sporty personality at 100%, with the pavilion that in the rear descends downwards with sporty performance, mixing the traditional style of the SUV with those of the coupe. But only this would not suffice to materialize the Lamborghini identity. To do this are the solutions adopted for the front, the sides and the rear. In fact, in the car body of the Urus abound aerodynamic elements and air intakes, things that obviously have a precise functional purpose, but which bring a great stylistic value. The overall result is a very gritty and aggressive image, although the cockpit offers everything that makes the cockpit comfortable. As well as not limited is the Trunk compartment: from 616 to 1,596 liters depending on the arrangement of the backrest of the rear seats. And in the cockpit, of course, there is no lack of equipment that makes Lamborghini Urus a joke with the times, with a system of connectivity to the top.
Company growth-with the presentation of the new Urus, Lamborghini has also made known its production programs. The Sant’Agata plant is being expanded, and from the current 80000 square meters, that has so far passed to 150,000 square meters. And by 2018 it will be possible to have in the company also the painting, an operation that is currently entrusted to external companies.
