2018 Volkswagen T-Roc Reviews, Specs, Prices – On sale in November-as many manufacturers also Volkswagen is developing new SUV models to meet the growing demand for this type of cars in all market categories. The first to arrive in the dealerships will be the 2018 Volkswagen T-Roc, a long SUV about 430 cm, competitor of Jeep Compass and seat Ateca. In the roadmap of the German house the T-Roc will be unveiled in August, presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and for sale, also in Italy, in November 2017. Today, with the approximation of the presentation, circulates on the Web an image taken from car and driver that anticipates the shapes (above) after a first scoop last April (here read more).
2018 Volkswagen T-Roc Specifications
It has the platform MQB-the 2018 Volkswagen T-Roc will resume the lines of the prototype homonym (see it here), Smussandone, however, some details: The bumper beam will be easier and more conventional, while the flank is moved by wheel rather accentuated. From the technical point of view, the T-Roc will have much in common with the sisters Audi Q2, seat Ateca and Skoda Karoq with which it shares most of the components not visible, starting from the MQB platform with front or integral traction. The engines will also be similar: we will find gasoline 1.0 TSI and 1.5 tsi, as well as diesel 1.6 TDI and 2.0 TDI. Optional double clutch DSG automatic gearbox.
The other SUVs-the Volkswagen is working on two other SUV models that they’ll debut by the end of next year. The first to arrive, in the spring of 2018, should be the second generation of the Volkswagen Touareg, the large SUV that passes to a new and more modern platform to challenge BMW X5 and Mercedes Gle. In the second half of 2018 it will be the turn of the Volkswagen T-Cross, an SUV of an even smaller size than the T-Roc. Sister of the forthcoming seat Arona, the T-Cross will use the platform MQB-A0, the same as the recent VW Polo, so we can expect a length under 420 cm. In this way the German House will have a range of SUV consisting of (in ascending order of length): T-Cross, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan Allspace and Touareg.
