2019 Honda Insight Full Hybrid Release Date, Changes, Specs
The third generation of hybrid Honda Insight will be shown at the Detroit Motor Show in early January, introduced as 2019 Honda Insight models.
Full Hybrid Engine?
Honda presents at the next Detroit Motor Show at the first of January 2018 the prototype of Futura Honda Insight. Unlike the previous two generations, the new model that will be marketed during summer 2018 is placed in a higher range of the market than in the past. The concept that we see in this picture, taken from a video, should look like many close to the final version, a 5-door sedan with a spacious cockpit and outstanding performance.
The model will be of size (and price) higher than the Civic and will be equipped with the “two-motor hybrid system”, the most advanced hybrid system of Honda. It should be a “full hybrid” (like the Toyota Prius, its main rival), with a good power electric motor that flanks the heat engine, unlike the previous Insight that had power unit of just 14 hp. The new Honda Insight will lead to five the batteries of the house for sale in the states, a number that should increase in the future considering the goal of Honda to arrive at 2030 with two-thirds of the range consisting of electric models or hybrids.
2019 Honda Insight Redesign; What’s New?
Quantum Leap-The 2019 Honda Insight represents an important model for the US market starting from the first generation of 1999, a two-door lightweight aluminum body moved by the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system that allowed many Reduced. The commercial success comes with the second generation of 2009, bigger and more comfortable also appreciated for the price content for a hybrid.
With the next Honda Insight, the Japanese House further raises the bar aiming at a more refined design that in the front reminds the greatest Accord. The car should be about 460 cm long and will have a sober but modern cockpit, with large central screen and digital instrumentation. New Honda Insight will be produced at Greensburg, Indiana, in factories where Civic and CR-V are assembled.
